In this case, one of the accused was arrested by the police and one surrendered in court.
The relatives of the deceased girl have demanded to call Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Family members say that the funeral will not take place until the Chief Minister arrives. The family has demanded that the accused be hanged. He says that before dying, the girl had said that the accused should be hanged. After the incident, angry people have blocked the Patna old bypass road. People are adamant on calling the Chief Minister. People say that the Muzaffarpur police is not trusted and SSP should be conducted.
In this incident, the girl was 80 percent scorched. Police arrested the accused youth. According to the police, a young man from the village entered the house of a girl living in his neighborhood and tried to rape the girl. When the woman protested this, the accused opened fire by spraying kerosene on the girl’s body.
After that, the accused admitted the injured woman to a small private hospital and then escaped from there. The victim’s mother alleges that the accused had harassed her daughter for the last three years, which she had also informed the police.
A police official said that the victim was admitted to Srikrishna Memorial College Hospital (SKMCH) in Muzaffarpur and a case was registered on the statement of the victim’s mother and the accused youth was arrested.
