India slipped to the second position with a drop in point after the annual ICC rankings

India have failed to retain its top position in ICC ODI Team Rankings with England rising up by eight points to climb as much as the No. 1 position, three points above the Virat Kohli-led side. The most recent ranking came following the annual update in which series results from 2014-15 are removed and outcomes from the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons are weighted at 50 percent.

England’s rise included the omission of their poor record in the 2014-15 season, in that they won only seven out of 25 ODI’s against other Full Members of ICC.The side have reached to the most effective position following a span of over five years. England topped the ICC ODI rankings last amount of time in January 2013. Following the annual update, India lost one point to remain in the next position with 122 points.

India will happen to be England in July for a complete series that will feature 3 T20Is, 3 ODIs, and 5 Tests. The side will hope to register a victory in the 50-over format to regain their top position in the rankings.

There have been no changes in the initial seven spot in the T20I rankings, but Afghanistan climbed in front of Sri Lanka to go up to the eight position in the table. Pakistan with 130 points remained in the most effective position, accompanied by Australia with 126 points and India with 123 points in the 3rd position.
