Actually, the producers of Panipat have agreed to remove the disputed part of the film. State Additional Chief Secretary Rajiv Swarup told PTI on Wednesday – The film’s distributors have informed us that the filmmaker will edit some scenes from Panipat. Producers will show the edited version of the movie to the censor board.

Minister demands to ban Panipat

On the other hand, the state tourism minister Vishvendra Singh was not satisfied with the matter of removing the scene of the makers. He tweeted and wrote- “In Panipat, a great man like Maharaja Surajmal Ji of Bharatpur has been depicted wrongly while tampering with historical facts. Changing a scene in the film will not work, I request the censor board to stop this film with immediate effect across the country.

Panipat is losing money in Rajasthan after opposition from Jats. Panipat is not being screened in many theaters of the state due to the Protest. On Monday, the protesters also vandalized a cinema hall. Rajasthan Tourism Minister Vishvendra Singh, Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasara, former CM Vasundhara Raje have accused the character of Maharaj Surajmal of Bharatpur of misrepresenting it.

CM Ashok Gehlot had also said strongly that the film makers should take care of the sentiments of the society. In Panipat, Arjun Kapoor played the role of Sadashiv Rao Bhau. Sanjay Dutt appeared in the role of Ahmed Shah Abdali, the Afghan king in 1761.
