Pritish Nandy demanded 1 crore for title ‘Womaniya’, Anurag renames to ‘Saand Ki Aankh’


Anurag Kashyap’s films have a long history of controversy. His upcoming film ‘Womaniya’ is in the discussion. In this, Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar are playing the main role. A controversy has started on the title of this movie. Indeed, filmmaker Pritish Nandy claims that the title ‘Womaniya’ has been registered by his company. If Anurag Kashyap wants this title then he will have to pay Rs 1 crore. After this, Anurag changed the name of his film to the ‘Saand Ki Aankh’.

The battle between Pritish Nandy and Anurag Kashyap has also risen on Twitter. Anurag said in his tweet the Nandy demanded extortion sum of Rs 1 crore. He thought it will be appropriate to change the title. Now his film name is ‘Saand Ki Aankh’. Bhumi Pednekar and Taapsee Pannu are about to appear in this movie. They will play the role of the world’s oldest sharpshooters Chandro (87-year-old) and Prakashi Tomar (82-year-old), who have won many medals.

Director Anurag Kashyap tweeted that we are not giving 1 crore rupees for the title of the film. Pritish Nandy can keep it with him. Earlier, Anurag had announced the new title of the film with a picture and had expressed regret over the fact that he had faith in Pritish Nandy. The shooting of ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ has started from Sunday.
